Midwest K9 Search Unit is a 501(c)(3) K9 search and rescue organization established in 2004. As of 2023, we average 20-25 callouts per year in the disciplines of area search (live and deceased), trailing, and water recovery. We operate mainly out of the Central Ohio area and are proud to be a part of the Ohio Federation of K9 Search Teams.

MISSION STATEMENT 

 

MWK9 shall function as a Specialized search unit. MWK9 has volunteer members who have attained operational status under specific training and testing procedures. It is the purpose of this organization to provide trained dogs, handlers, and support personnel to assist in searching for missing, lost or overdue persons.
